A Peel Moment

I like to read. Especially historical accounts on memorials.
Thomas Peel "contributed to the founding of Mandurah". When I studied European History in Secondary School British History was a big portion of our subject. Thomas Peel's cousin was the famous British Prime Minister Robert Peel (who founded the British Police Force )
Thomas Peel (a contemporary of Rajah James Brooke) is the first European to set foot on Mandurah in 1829 which by then was already populated by the Aboriginal People of Australia.(Mandjar means Meetring Place).

Mandurah is now an upscale tourist and expensive residential city.
